The path to success can come in multiple forms, whether it’s having a passion for something, a dollar, and a dream, or maybe it’s just having someone believe in you.
Many up and coming entrepreneurs know all too well the power with having someone believe in them holds.
For the past three years, the LEGACY Awards Gala, which celebrates the impact of Black Entrepreneurs, has awarded three young entrepreneurs with the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
An award that honors business people under the age of twenty-five, the Young Entrepreneur Award has given young people the chance to gain access to opportunities that have not always been allotted to them.
The lucky winner of the Young Entrepreneur Award will gain over $10,000 in prizes including: $1,000 in cash, $2,500 marketing and printing services from WDB Marketing, free headshots, free membership to the Golden Baton Group, interview on the AC Green Show on 106.3FM and 1390AM, free event coordination from ATwinToo Productions, a feature in SCENE Chicago or Chicago Now from the Media Doctorz, $500 advertising package from the Black Mall, one (1) month free PR services, $500 digital marketing package from Red Level Entertainment, and an interview for VoiceoftheChi.
Also, for the very first time in LEGACY Awards Gala history, the contestants of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award will have the chance to travel to Ghana for the U.S. Africa Youth Entrepreneurship Summit.
People who are interested in becoming a candidate for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award are encouraged to visit legacyawardsgala.com to apply. The potential applicant must be 25 years of age or younger with an active business.
People are also encouraged to nominate young people they find fit to be the next Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Along with the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the LEGACY Awards Gala will offer attendees the opportunity to network, a Black restaurant showcase, the young entrepreneur pitch, and finally, the awards show.
The LEGACY Awards Gala gives people a moment to become aware of what is going on in the Black community when it comes to entrepreneurs.
It uses its platform to recognize entrepreneurs with several awards, including the Leadership, Education, Growth, Advocacy, Community, and the Shining Light Awards.
The event will be held at Malcolm X College in Chicago, Ill on Sat., Feb., 29th, beginning at 6 P.M. until 10 P.M.
